PersIT 2012

This conference will bring together 350+ professionals ranging from the Information Technology leaders, executives and experts interested in sharing contemporary knowledge and fostering a strong IT industry in BC. Through a combination of plenary speakers, panel discussions, and networking sessions participants will deepen their understanding of the industry movements, best practices, and become a part of a group with shared goals toward the IT excellence. Expected to be the largest assembly of Iranian prof

essionals and companies in B.C., this exciting event embraces an atmosphere of information exchange, product applications, career development and business opportunities for participants and sponsors to reach people in diverse areas of IT, computer, electrical and network science, software, website, multimedia services and several other disciplines.

In recognition of world renowned Iranian Professor and Scientist, Lotfi A. Zadeh from The University of California, Berkeley, SICAP is honored to tribute this event to his lifetime of achievements. PersIT speakers:

1) Mr.Hamed Shahbazi, Chairman & CEO Tio Networks Corp.

Mr. Hamed Shahbazi has been the President of TIO (Formerly Info Touch Technologies Corp.) since January 2000 and its Chief Executive Officer since August 1997. Named '40 Under 40 Award' in recognition for his achievements as one of top performers in business, public or private life.


2) Ms.Shahrzad Rafati, Founder & CEO Broadbandtv Crop

Shahrzad is a Canadian entrepreneur and the founder of BroadbandTV Corp (BBTV), headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia. Rafati was named among the Top 5 Feature Entrepreneurs in the Media & Entertainment Industry by the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs of British Columbia.


3) Mr.Farid Dordar, Founder & CEO Perfectmind Technology Inc.

Master Farid Dordar is a World Champion in martial art and kick boxing. Dordar was struggling to find an efficient way to manage the numerous tasks of running a Martial Arts School and decided to develop a software to provide school management solutions all in one bundle. Almost a decade later, Dordar's software can be found in over 5000 Martial Arts schools world wide. He expanded his thought by a company called PerfectMIND.

Moe Kermani, PhD, Entrepreneur
Recipient of the Business in Vancouver '40 under 40' award and was named the BC Technology Industry Association's Person of the Year for 2011. He is a former Vice President of NetApp Inc. (NTAP:NASDAQ), a leading provider of enterprise data storage solutions. Prior to that Moe was President and CEO of Bycast Inc., the world leader in storage virtualization software for large scale digital archives and storage clouds. Bycast was acquired by NetApp in the spring of 2010.
