An Evening on Mining Industry

Brought to you by

Society of Canadian Iranian Professionals of British Columbia (SICAP)
&
Vancouver Chapter of Sharif University of Technology Association (SUTA)

Mining industry is evolving globally due to a huge demand for metals and commodities in the industrial world. In our experience, the public perception of this thriving industry is not aligned with its realities and its significant contribution to the educational and financial systems of the resource based and advanced countries. In this exciting panel discussion event organized by SICAP and SUTA Vancouver Chapter, our goal is to update the view of the participants about various aspects of the mining industry and its multi-disciplinary nature. The event will be comprised of two sessions: presentations and workshop. During the presentations, the speakers will cover topics from overview of the mining industry to its associated employment and entrepreneurship opportunities. The subsequent workshop will provide an opportunity for the audience of different background to interact with the panellists and exchange their ideas on mining-related issues.

When: Sunday, January 23, 2011, From 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
